Reviews & retention Medium ~20 min to build

Ask for a review a few days after delivery

Time review requests off the actual delivery scan instead of the ship date, so customers have the product in hand when you ask.

Trigger: The carrier marks a shipment delivered.

What it does

  1. Catch the delivered fulfillment event
  2. Wait a few days
  3. Tag the order (or send an event to your email tool) so the review request goes out

Tools involved: Shopify Flow · Make · n8n · Zapier · Klaviyo · Judge.me

How to build it

Shopify Flow Recommended

Trigger: Fulfillment event created

Conditions

  • fulfillmentEvent.status equals DELIVERED

Actions

  1. Wait: 5 days
  2. Add order tags: review-request
  3. (Your email or review app sends the request off that tag or segment)

Shopify notes that this trigger fires on updates from third-party fulfillment services and carriers (in transit, delivered). Manual fulfillments don't fire it; use "Order fulfilled" plus a longer wait for those. Judge.me, Loox and most review apps also have a built-in 'send X days after delivery' setting, so try that first.

Get it: Shopify Flow

Make

  1. Shopify > Watch events (advanced), Event topic FULFILLMENT_EVENTS_CREATE
  2. Filter: status = delivered
  3. HTTP > Make a request: send a 'Delivered' event to your email tool's API (e.g. Klaviyo Events API) and let its flow handle the delay

Make's Sleep module tops out at minutes, so let the email tool do the multi-day wait.

Build it in Make

n8n

  1. Shopify Trigger, topic fulfillment_events/create
  2. IF: status = delivered
  3. Wait: 5 days
  4. Gmail: Send (or HTTP Request to your email/review tool)

Build it in n8n

Zapier

  1. Shopify: New Fulfilled Order
  2. Delay by Zapier: Delay For 7 days (ship date + transit, approximate)
  3. Gmail: Send Email

Zapier has no fulfillment-event trigger, so this keys off fulfillment, not delivery.
