Post every refund to Slack

Get a Slack message with the order number, amount and note every time someone issues a refund, so refund spikes and mistakes get caught the same day.

Trigger: A refund is created.

  2. Format order number, amount and reason
  3. Post to a Slack channel

How to build it

Shopify Flow Recommended

Trigger: Refund created

Conditions

  • Optional: refund total is greater than 100 to only flag big refunds

Actions

  1. Send Slack message: channel #refunds, message "Refund on {{order.name}}: {{refund.totalRefundedSet.shopMoney.amount}} - note: {{refund.note}}"

Add the FlowBot app to the Slack channel first, or the message won't post.

  1. Shopify > Watch events (advanced), Event topic REFUNDS_CREATE
  2. Slack > Send a Message
